George Brown College opened its doors in 1968 and since then, its student population has grown to nearly 30,000. It has three main urban campuses – St. James, Casa Loma, and Waterfront – and several other downtown locations that place students right where the action is.

At George Brown College, you can choose from a large number of programs which will provide you with the skills you need to succeed in the modern workplace.

George Brown College provides a blend of theory and hands-on experience. It prioritizes real-world learning and provides students with opportunities to work alongside industry professionals in applied research and field education opportunities. And its industry partnerships mean students get the latest trends and tech they can expect in the field.  

As a student, you’ll be able to get involved in fitness and sports activities such as instructional classes, drop-in sports and organized leagues through the fitness centres at both main campuses. George Brown’s men’s and women’s varsity sports teams, The Huskies, are part of the Ontario College Athletic Association and compete against other Ontario colleges in many sports, including badminton, baseball, basketball, cross-country running, golf, soccer and volleyball.

George Brown also has a huge range of clubs for you to follow your interests — or find new ones beyond the classroom. Chances are you’ll find one that suits you, and if you don’t, we’ll help you start one! Student cafeterias, wireless access points, restaurants, bookstores, convenience stores, and so on, are all available on-campus to help you make the most of your time spent at the College.

As a George Brown student some of your most rewarding experiences will occur as you take part in the cultural, social and athletic activities happening on campus.
